Jonathan Greene

Jonathan has been practicing Veterans Law for over 10 years and has represented hundreds of Veterans at the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and at the Agency Level before VA. He is a frequent speaker at national Veterans Law conferences, including the National Organization of Veterans Affairs, where he has lectured on matters such as Special Monthly Compensation; how to effectively utilize paralegals; elements of a rating decision; the VA claims process; screening cases; and effective tactics for conducting VA Board hearings.

Jonathan graduated with honors from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2008. Before attending law school, Jonathan worked in the automotive industry in a number of different business capacities, including finance, logistics, quality management, human resources, and operations. He speaks German fluently and has worked in several foreign countries, including Germany, Switzerland, South Korea, Mexico, and South Africa. Jonathan completed his undergraduate studies in finance and German at the University of Rhode Island, where he graduated with distinction.

Jonathan is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York. He is also accredited to represent veterans before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Daniel Marusak

Dan served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard from 2007 to 2020. After his first year of law school, Dan deployed with his unit to Kunar Province, Afghanistan, as an Infantry Platoon Leader from 2011-2012. In April 2013, while serving as an executive officer, Dan led his company in response to the Boston Marathon Bombing, and worked with local police to establish security in Boston’s subway stations. He finished his military career serving for nearly three years as the commander of an Infantry Company.

Dan graduated, cum laude, from Roger Williams School of Law in 2014. He has been practicing Veteran’s law ever since. In that time, he has represented hundreds of Veterans and their families at the Agency Level and before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He is also accredited by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and licensed to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Courtney Ross

Courtney is an experienced attorney who has been practicing veterans disability law since 2015, with a focus on representing disabled veterans and their dependents before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Her background includes handling claims and appeals related to psychiatric disabilities, orthopedic conditions, individual unemployability, toxic exposure related issues, and special monthly compensation to name a few. She has also served as a speaker on veterans law topics across the country, including conferences for the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates, veterans law school clinics, and state continuing legal education presentations. Courtney’s lectured on the claims process under the Appeals Modernization Act, on the use of vocational expert evidence in VA cases, VA examinations, and on the Freedom of Information Act. Prior to joining Greene & Marusak in 2022, she worked managing a veterans law practice that included training attorneys and advocates. She also worked at a nonprofit organization in Massachusetts assisting individuals facing eviction due to financial challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Courtney graduated magna cum laude from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2015 and is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is accredited to represent veterans before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and licensed to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. She was named a firm partner in 2024. 

Jennifer Winn

Jennifer Winn joined Greene & Marusak as a paralegal in 2020. She assists attorneys with client communication, case assessment, case strategy development, supportive evidence gathering, and argument drafting.

Prior to working with disabled veterans in 2010, Jennifer served in the United States Navy from 1995 to 1999. While enlisted, Jennifer traveled extensively with the United States Navy Band, providing musical support for a variety of military and community events.

Following her discharge from service, Jennifer earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rhode Island College, after which she spent several years working as a mental health case manager.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with family and friends. A lifelong lover of music, she continues to play several instruments and loves attending live musical performances whenever the opportunity arises.

Lauren T. Armstrong

Lauren joined Greene & Marusak in the summer of 2023. In May 2024, she graduated from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, FL, with a certificate of concentration in Elder Law. Lauren is admitted to practice law in the state of Florida and is accredited to represent veterans before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Originally from Orlando, FL, Lauren earned a B.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Central Florida in 2018. She brings over 8 years of customer service, administrative, and hospitality experience to the firm.

The granddaughter of a Coast Guardsman and Women’s Army Corps member, Lauren has always had a deep respect and appreciation for the men and women who served our country. She quickly found a love for Veterans Benefits Law after volunteering as a Summer Fellow at Stetson’s Veteran’s Law Institute (VLI). Following her fellowship, she participated in the VLI’s Veterans Advocacy Clinic (VAC1), where she assisted veterans in obtaining their well-deserved disability benefits. In her third year of law school, she was selected to participate in the Advanced Veterans Advocacy Clinic, where she appeared as an authorized law student at the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC). In her final semester, she acted as the Advanced Veterans Advocacy Clinic’s teaching assistant. Lauren is excited to continue serving those who have served through her work with Greene & Marusak.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys reading, oil painting, and spending time with her family.

Hanah Walker

Hanah joined Greene & Marusak in the spring of 2024. In May 2024, she graduated with her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Hanah graduated magna cum laude from Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice.

Prior to joining the team, Hanah provided pro bono legal services to veterans through Stetson’s Veterans Law Institute. This experience allowed her to learn about veterans disability law and gain hands on experience managing client cases, conducting research, and drafting and submitting arguments to both VA Regional Offices and the Board of Appeals for Veterans’ Claims.

Hanah is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.

Hanah Walker

John is an accredited VA claims agent. He represents disabled veterans and their families before the VA and the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. John joined Greene & Marusak in 2021, though he has been assisting Veterans in their claims for benefits since 2016.

John graduated from the Salve Regina University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Administration of Justice. During school, he completed an internship at the Barnstable County District Court in their Victim and Witness Department.

John enjoys spending with his fiancé Annie and his dog Bella. In his spare time, you can find John enjoying New England sports and attending concerts.

Vittoria Marini

Vittoria is an accredited VA claims agent representing disabled veterans and their families before the VA and the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. Vittoria joined Greene & Marusak in 2023 and has been assisting veterans with their disability benefits since 2018.

Vittoria graduated from Providence College in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Writing. She has experience in multiple other types of law including real estate, personal injury, litigation, and probate and estate planning. She is also a regular volunteer at the Da Vinci Center for Community Progress in Providence, Rhode Island.

In her free time, Vittoria enjoys teaching fitness classes at a local fitness studio, spending time with her white Siberian husky, Ghost, and traveling.

Izzy Turner-Debs

Izzy joined Greene & Marusak as a paralegal in 2023. She assists attorneys and accredited representatives with argument drafting, case strategy, development, research, and client communication. She specializes in drafting arguments to the Board of Veterans’ Appeals and briefing complex legal issues. She graduated summa cum laude from Wheaton College (MA) with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Women’s & Gender Studies.

After college, she worked for a couple of years as a paralegal assisting with veterans’ disability cases, before pursuing a Master of Science in Organizational and Social Psychology at the London School of Economics.

Outside of work, Izzy enjoys doing yoga, baking, reading, and traveling.

Tequila Brown

Tequila joined Greene & Marusak as a paralegal in 2021. She specializes in case development and argument drafting. As a value-driven team member, she helps manage the caseloads of the firms’ attorneys and accredited agents. Her skills include managing appeal deadlines, providing clear communication with clients, case development, and argument drafting.

A 2012 graduate from the Business/Communication Department of Hollins University, Tequila gained valuable client and management skills working in the financial industry as a bank clerk. Prior to joining Greene & Marusak, she served as an accredited Veteran Service Administrator with the Virginia Department of Veterans Services (VDVS) for 7 years. She effectively represented the veterans organization and its mission to connect veterans and their families to federal and state benefits, and assisted with the opening of multiple Veteran Benefits Office locations in the Northern Virginia Area. Supporting the high visibility Pentagon Benefits Office, she used her time to provide guidance and assistance to many transitioning service members, veterans, and their families.

Tequila is a people lover, which is witnessed through her love for family, friends, and social activities; being a giving person and motivating others to be their best. Her hobbies include travel, reading, decorating and meditation. She enjoys physical activities for strength, energy, and mental stimulation.

Kaci Patrick

Kaci joined Greene and Marusak in the summer of 2023.  She is part of our intake team.  Kaci is originally from California, but has lived at several duty stations with her husband who recently retired from the US Marines. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in December of 2020 through Indiana University.  Kaci has 15 years of experience working in the medical field and administrative work. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 2 daughters, watching the San Francisco 49ers, and being outdoors in the warm weather.

Angela Redmond

Angela Redmond joined Greene & Marusak in 2022, bringing over eight years of experience working in veterans’ law. Her career includes six years in private practice and two years working for the Virginia Department of Veteran Services. Angela has worked closely with veterans and attorneys on filing VA compensation, health, and education claims, as well as VA appeals. She has a wealth of knowledge of the VA compensation claims process, including both the VA legacy system, and The Appeals Modernization Act. She is skilled in VA case development and strategy; legal and medical research; documents and forms drafting; and client communication.

Angela became interested in Veteran’s law after graduating from the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in 2011. She attended VMI with her triplet brothers, one of whom is currently serving in the U.S. Army as a field artillery officer. Based on her experience around military and veterans, Angela has dedicated her career to helping those who have served the Nation.

Angela graduated from the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America.

Jared Davison

Jared is a paralegal who joined Greene & Marusak in 2024 upon his separation from the United States Navy after 10 years of service.

His career started on-board the USS North Dakota, a fast-attack submarine, as an Electronics Technician, maintaining and operating all communication and IT equipment. He completed a special operations deployment in the Mediterranean, an Arctic Circle and Northern Europe deployment, as well as numerous strategic exercises. Jared left the USS North Dakota in 2016 as the Communications Division Lead Petty Officer and the Primary Manager of Communications Security and Cryptography.

His time in the military ended in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, working for the Commander of the Pacific Submarine Force. Here, Jared assumed the role of Chief of the Watch and led a division comprised of communications, IT, cybersecurity, cryptography, and maintenance personnel to provide operational tasking to submarines deployed in the Pacific.

He is the recipient of 7 Navy and Marine Corps. Achievement Medals, 2 Navy Good Conduct Medals, the Navy Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Outside of work, Jared enjoys spending time outdoors with his son and dog, painting, and reading.

Jessica Pribyl

Jessica joined Greene & Marusak in 2024, specializing in case development, client communication, and evidence gathering. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, she served from 2002 to 2006 and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Also a military spouse, married for 20 years to a now retired Marine, Jessica understands the unique challenges faced by military families. She holds an Associate Degree in Medical Office Administration, served as a volunteer firefighter, and has dedicated part of her career to assisting servicemen and women with their real estate needs. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys traveling with her family and volunteering in her community.

Jessica Dill

Jessica joined Greene & Marusak in 2024 as a paralegal specializing in case development, client communication, and evidence gathering. She is originally from Rhode Island, but lives in Hawaii with her family, where her husband currently serves on active duty in the Navy. As a military spouse she is deeply committed to giving back to the active duty and veteran populations.

She graduated from the Community College of Rhode Island with her Associates of the Art (2019) and Associates of the Science (2020) for Paralegal Studies. She also graduated from the University of Rhode Island (2021) and she is an active member of the Criminal Justice National Honor Society and the Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, Eta Sigma Chapter.

Jessica joined the legal field in 2019 and has a background in civil litigation, social security administration, workers’ compensation, probate, and estate planning. She is a member of the National Federation of Paralegal Association and the Rhode Island Paralegal Association. She is passionate about her role in the legal field and is dedicated to helping others.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, crocheting, reading, crafting, and doing volunteer work. She is passionate about assisting and motivating others and adopts families during the holidays.

Kim Souza

Kim joined Greene & Marusak in the summer of 2024. Kim has over 12 years of administrative and customer service work. She enjoys helping others. She is from Washington state. She is a military spouse, married for 18 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching football, and watching a hallmark movie!

Kassondra Coburn

Kassondra joined Greene & Marusak in 2024 as a paralegal committed to assisting veterans.   She has a diverse professional background with notable experience in community healthcare.  After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Southern New Hampshire University with a B.A. degree in Psychology,  Kassondra worked in an adolescent in-patient psychiatric care unit prior to joining G&M.   Her experience with mental health and medical systems adds valuable insight to her work helping veterans gather medical evidence and develop their VA claims.

Kassondra comes from a family with a proud tradition of military service.  She has a deep personal connection to the challenges veterans face as her brother currently serves as a United States Marine.

Outside of work, Kassondra enjoys hiking, spending quality time with her family, crocheting, and going to the beach.  She is also an active member of the National Society of Leadership and Success honor society.

Shea Hassinger

Shea joined Greene & Marusak in the summer of 2025 as a paralegal devoted to assisting Veterans with developing their disability claims. She is originally from Minnesota, but now resides outside of Providence, Rhode Island. Shea graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in May 2023 with Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Sociology, and a certificate in Criminology and the Justice System. Prior to joining the Greene & Marusak team, Shea worked in the field of neuropsychological testing and case management for families. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering with the unhoused population, gardening, hiking, and spending time with animals. Shea is passionate about advocating for others and increasing accessibility to education for all populations.

Jillian Rathke

Jillian is the Marketing Coordinator with Greene & Marusak. She contributes to social media strategy development, content creation, and data analytics. Jillian joined Greene & Marusak as an intern during the summer of 2024 and has now taken on a full time position post graduation.

Jillian graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island in May of 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration for Marketing, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Language, and a certificate in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Her work experience extends to the University’s College of Business, where she assisted with event planning, data management, and content creation. In addition to her position at the College of Business, Jillian was also involved in many other organizations such as the Student Ambassador Program, Business 101 Mentor Program, and Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity where she held positions as Vice President of Community Service and Social Media Chair.

During her free time, Jillian enjoys cooking, spending time with friends, traveling, and being outdoors!

Emily Klein

Emily has managed the Greene & Marusak office since 2019. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a minor in communications from Culver-Stockton College. She organized and executed events and tradeshows on the marketing team for Fortune 500 corporate companies for over eight years. Emily pulls from her business administrative background to support the success of the Greene & Marusak team. Midwest raised in a military family, Emily understands the impact the firm has on Veterans and their families. Her energy, focus to detail, and dedication, benefit everyone she works with. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
